Guided tours are available for small and large groups for a fee. The museum’s meeting rooms can be let for meetings, events, and concerts, subject to further agreement. The museum provides information on Icelandic outsider art if requested. The museum also hosts lectures on art and research carried out by the museum.
The museum lends works from its collection temporarily to other museums, for special exhibitions, or research, subject to agreement. The author always has the right to lend their works for their own exhibitions. Borrowers must comply with the museum’s conditions regarding insurance and safety.
The museum provides researchers with access to its records and archives, subject to further agreement. A researcher’s residence is also available, see more information here. According to the museum’s organisational bylaws, it may charge for specialist services, mediation, loans of artworks, photographs of them, special records, and selected computer data.
